It appears this tool bar page rank update happened in two parts.  So the sites I thought mysteriously missed the update actually got it.  I am pleased with the results but am starting to realize that one of the critera for ranking might be somewhat flawed in having newer sites start-off at a higher rank.  I know the algorythim is secret and probably very imperfect but it sure gives me a headache trying to figure it out sometimes.

The most recent Google tool bar page rank update has left me feeling sort of empty….and disappointed and slightly bewildered.  A couple of things happened the way they should have, www.Submit4Backlinks.com received a PR5 and one of my new portal sites www.CuttingEdgeHumor.com recieved a PR3. 

But for some reason www.Blog4Video.com did not get a PR udpate at all and that site has tons of great backlinks and oodles of traffic.  Since it just missed the last update I was certain it would have achieved a page rank this one.  Maybe it is in some new kind of ’sandbox’?  Did I build links too quickly for this site?  Oh well I guess I will just wait a few months and see if it gets a toolbar update on the page rank then.
